6 WEEK INTRODUCTION TO SCREEN ACTING
COURSE STRUCTURE:
Students will film a scene every week and work on a new script every 2 weeks:
Week 1 - Listening to Given Circumstances
Cover script analysis, sensory imagery, and trusting your interpretation and impulses.
Week 2 - Connecting to the other person
Focus on screen craft, listening, grounding exercises, improvisation, and finding your freedom to play and truly connect.
Week 3 - Listening to your body
How to convince your body you are the character and not just your mind, performance nerves, learning to listen more deeply to your body, freedom to play.
Week 4 - Serving the story through character
Understanding how your character choices can deepen the storyline and enrich the stakes of the scene and storyline.
Week 5 - Auditioning
Self-taping from home and callback auditions, and an introduction to the industry chat.
Week 6 - A review of the last 5 weeks
We’ll cover screen craft, your individual work ethic, and moving forward on your path in the industry.

Grace Naoum!
Explore the essentials of Screen Technique to find greater truthfulness, playfulness and confidence on camera. Grace provides a warm environment in which to learn whilst also giving detailed, constructive feedback, tailored to you, and bringing fun and lightness back into acting.
Grace is a graduate of the full time course at Actors Centre Australia. Most recently, she played the role of Daniela Kelhmann in Amazon Prime's comedy series, ‘Deadloch’ (2023). She was also cast in the role of Cora Ferrara in the U.S. film, ‘NOMAD’ starring Leo Woodall, (2025 release), and plays a guest role in ‘Total Control’ Series 3, (2024 release).
In the past 5 years Grace has been cast in several commercials such as Google, YOUI, James Hardie, Aussie Home Loans, Smiths Chips, Daikin, Fiji Tourism, British Paints, RSPCA, Milrun, Berocca and more.
Theatre credits include Molly Sweeney in Clock and Spiel’s Production of ‘Molly Sweeney’, in which the Sydney Morning Herald described her performance as "fierce, exultant and wrenchingly desolate".
Her other stage credits include the lead role of Hermione in Secret House’s production of Shakespeare’s ‘The Winter’s Tale’, Ajax in Shakespeare’s ‘Troilus and Cressida’, Malcolm in SheShakespeare’s production of ‘Macbeth’ and the lead role of Tiffany in Factory Theatre’s Production of ‘Almost Nearly Paradise’ by Brenda Gottsche.
Grace has also worked as part of the Educational Theatre Company, Poetry In Action, touring Australia for 8 months.
Grace has worked on a variety of short films such as ‘Enneagrams vs COVID-19’ (actor, co-writer, producer), and written and performed poetry for charity organisations, International Justice Mission and TEAR Australia.
Grace is also a Screen and Theatre coach at NIDA and other schools throughout Sydney.
