Acting Mastery is incredibly excited to welcome back highly-acclaimed film director Kim Farrant to teach her powerful masterclass RAW TRUTH IN PERFORMANCE this October.

Kim’s latest film for Netflix, THE WEEKEND AWAY, was released in March and was the Number 1 film worldwide on Netflix for its first ten days.
Kim’s other films include STRANGERLAND (Sundance Grand Jury prize nominee) starring Nicole Kidman, Joseph Fiennes and Hugo Weaving, and the psychological thriller ANGEL OF MINE with Noomi Rapace, Yvonne Strahovski, Luke Evans and Richard Roxburgh.

This 3 day intensive includes:

  • Detailed script analysis

  • Scene work

  • How to give greater meaning and visceral relationships to Objects, People, Places, Issues, Events and Time Frames;

  • How to find the subtext in a scene and differentiate with Inner Monologue

  • Unique Effective Tools on how to move through historical emotional blocks that prevent the actor from accessing all of their emotional and physical instrument in service of character

  • Techniques to further find depth and breadth, and masculine and feminine qualities in characters

  • How to embody a character from a place of truth and safety, with clear boundaries

This is a rare opportunity to work with a director at the top of her game and a powerful, empathic teacher.

Actors are assigned scenes and a scene partner and must rehearse with their partner four times prior to the workshop.

THIS IS EMOTIONALLY INTENSE WORK THAT YIELDS INCREDIBLE RESULTS

This masterclass is OPEN TO ALL ACTORS with either industry experience or professional training. Application process includes submitting a showreel, bio and headshot, and completing an application form. Short-listed applicants will then have a 15min Zoom interview with Kim.
