Sexuality on Screen with Kim Farrant

I am incredibly grateful to Kim Farrant. This is the work I’ve been needing for 20 years. If I don’t deal with what’s blocking me, my ability is limited. Kim provided a safe place to challenge my blocks and fears with incredible insight and emotional intelligence. Her energy and commitment to each member of the group seemed boundless in her pursuit to uncover the issues that get in our way as artists. However this is not simply a cathartic experience. Over the two workshops I have attended, RAW TRUTH and SEXUALITY ON SCREEN, Kim has provided me with practical tools I can use to keep freeing up the discoveries made. She’s also taught me how to mine the script energetically and creatively. Frankly, it makes everything else look a bit a bit boring. Looking forward to taking this work into my upcoming roles.
Acting Mastery is incredibly excited to host highly-acclaimed Sundance film director Kim Farrant to teach her powerful SEXUALITY ON SCREEN MASTERCLASS.
Kim directed Nicole Kidman, Joseph Fiennes and Hugo Weaving in Strangerland (Nominated for the Grand Jury Prize at Sundance), Angel of Mine with Noomi Rapace, Yvonne Strahovski and Luke Evans and recently the Netflix hit The Weekend Away with Leighton Meester and Ziad Bakri (Number 1 on Netflix worldwide for ten days).
SEXUALITY ON SCREEN teaches actors how to embody their sexuality in all its wild, hot and beautiful flavors in service of character in a safe and consensual way.
As a director, Kim sees it time and time again - the actor who embodies their own sexuality can embody the sexuality of a character.
How you do life is how you do acting. The actor with blocks around their sexuality, limiting beliefs, and stagnant energy, finds it more difficult to play sexual roles or doesn’t get cast in them.
Sexual embodiment is what creates charisma - that special "it factor" that books gigs & creates stars.
Yet in order to embrace our sexuality, especially on screen and prior to that in front of total strangers on set or a live audience, we need to feel truly safe
The foundation of this Masterclass is to equip the actor with the tools to create healthy boundaries for themselves and with their fellow collaborators when dealing with sexuality, sexual touch, nudity and all the potential grey in between. From this place of somatic consent, you will then learn how to work with any historic, cultural, familial, physical or emotional blocks in the body or limitations around your sexuality, so that you can explore the full range of sexual archetypes that live inside of you, in service of character.
This masterclass is open to ACTORS WHO HAVE COMPLETED OR AUDITED RAW TRUTH IN PERFORMANCE, with either industry experience or professional training.
Application process includes submitting a showreel link and headshot, and completing an application form.

Here are some testimonials from Actors such as Nicole Kidman, Isabel Lucas, Tottie Goldsmith, and many more about working with Kim.
Isabel Lucas
One of the things I love about Kim is her way of working with people in this very intuitive, truthful way. She’s very unfiltered and very encouraging in the way she gives feedback. Her work is all about merging the spiritual growth work with the professional work artistically/ which I love. Her work goes very deep and she has a very safe container, a really loving way of working with everyone so that there’s a lot of trust formed. It’s all about facing your blocks and using them in service of character.
Tasha Saunders: Melbourne Working Actor
This workshop is a powerful and important way to explore your sexuality on screen. You become completely empowered and comfortable within your skin and your own self expression. Kim is warm and generous with her time and makes you feel excited and enriched by the work. We work slowly and specifically to explore this delicate area within performance. When it comes to sexuality there are so many facets and Kim’s innate ability to provide a fun and safe space encourages you to learn about yourself and your expression in order to remove blocks and allow choices in your craft that support character and story. I have gained a better understanding of my old limitations that I used to place on myself and therefore my craft. With Kim’s guidance I have now removed them and I feel freer in my performance.
